MotoGP: Alexis de Angelis 'improving' after crash

The San Marino rider suffered bleeding inside his brain following a crash in practice on the eve of last weekend's Japanese Grand Prix.
The 31-year-old, who competes for Team E-motion Iodaracing, has been in the intensive care unit of Dokkyo Medical University Hospital since the accident.
"His condition improved over the past 24 hours," a MotoGP statement read.
De Angelis also broke five vertebrae and two ribs, and suffered a slight fracture of the sternum and the left collarbone.
Damage to his lungs had caused doctors the most concern, but the problems are thought to be under control.
"The rider is deemed to be in a stable condition, awake and oriented and he was pleased to catch up with his father and brother," the statement added.
