Ronnie O'Sullivan will not defend Champion of Champions title

Ronnie O'SullivanRonnie O'Sullivan will not defend his Champion of Champions title in Coventry next month.
The five-time world champion, 39, was included in the draw but said last week that he would decline the invitation to play without stating why.
Tournament organiser have now confirmed the two-time winner will not feature.
O'Sullivan's decision not to play means Ruhr Open winner Rory McLeod  will now be assured of an invite to play in the event, which begins on 10 November.
Writing on Twitter last week, O'Sullivan said:  "I don't want fans buying tickets for Coventry thinking I'm playing. I said I hadn't entered weeks ago. Nothing's changed."
World Champion Stuart Bingham will play the opening match of the tournament, while the likes of Neil Robertson, Shaun Murphy and world number one Mark Selby will also be in action.

Ryan and Moira Goepfert were elated when they were selected for student housing at Columbia University. The move would put them in a renovated doorman building across from campus, and it would save them $600 a month in rent. But after Mr. Goepfert visited the quiet hallways of the university building, the couple turned down the offer. “Almost 100 percent of the reason was our daughter, Grace, and the relationships she’s built on our floor,” said Mr. Goepfert, 34, who is pursuing a degree at Columbia’s School of General Studies. The Goepferts live in a one-bedroom rental on West 119th Street in  Harlem . Their floor has six children between the ages of 4 months and 7 years and the family next door has a baby on the way. ISLAMABAD:  Days before Pakistan’s powerful army chief was due to visit Washington for talks on regional stability and fighting militancy, General Raheel Sharif engaged in thinly veiled criticism of the nuclear-armed country’s civilian government. A terse statement from the army’s PR wing underlined the tension between Pakistan’s military and its civilian government, just as the United States prepares to receive Sharif weeks after the prime minister held talks there. After top generals met to review a major crackdown on extremists, the Pakistani military said it would be “undermined” if the government did not take “matching governance initiatives”.
