Tour de Yorkshire 2016 host towns revealed

Six towns have been selected to start or finish a stage of the 2016 Tour de Yorkshire cycle race.
Beverley, Doncaster, Middlesbrough, Otley, Scarborough and Settle have all been chosen and the exact route will be announced in December.
The three-day men's race will start on 29 April, with a women's race held on Saturday 30 April.
The event was held for the first time in May this year and was watched by an estimated 1.2m people.
It was established after Yorkshire hosted the Tour de France Grand Depart in 2014.
The event organisers, Welcome to Yorkshire, said it had received 14 expressions of interest from towns wanting to host a start or finish 2016 event.
The inaugural men's race was won by Norwegian Lars-Petter Nordhaug for Team Sky.
More than 140 riders took part in the 500km (310 miles) race, including Olympic champion and Tour de France winner Sir Bradley Wiggins.

Ryan and Moira Goepfert were elated when they were selected for student housing at Columbia University. The move would put them in a renovated doorman building across from campus, and it would save them $600 a month in rent. But after Mr. Goepfert visited the quiet hallways of the university building, the couple turned down the offer. “Almost 100 percent of the reason was our daughter, Grace, and the relationships she’s built on our floor,” said Mr. Goepfert, 34, who is pursuing a degree at Columbia’s School of General Studies. The Goepferts live in a one-bedroom rental on West 119th Street in  Harlem . Their floor has six children between the ages of 4 months and 7 years and the family next door has a baby on the way. Especially in the winter, the children hang out in the 12-by-15-foot landing outside the elevator. They ride their scooters down the hallway and kick around a ball. NASA Rover Finds Evidence That Mars Once Had Lakes

Mars' massive Mount Sharp may have formed billions of years ago as water carried sand and silt into the center of a large crater. ASA/JPL-Caltech/MSSS Mars is cold and dry, but billions of years ago, it was cold and wet. That's according to new evidence from NASA's  Curiosity rover , which is currently exploring a large crater on Mars. The rover has found geological evidence that lakes of liquid water existed in the crater 3.5 billion years ago. "The lakes may have existed for hundreds of thousands of years," says  John Grotzinger , a researcher at Caltech and chief scientist for the rover. But he adds, the lake network may have stuck around for millions of years. This is the second big water announcement NASA has made about Mars recently.
