Walthamstow 'riot': Shocking footage shows brawl outside Tube station which led cops to close off entire street
Three people were arrested after police shut down an entire street as more than two hundred teenagers massed outside a tube station.
Grainy footage posted on social media sites Facebook and Twitter appears to show groups of teenagers grappling with one another outside Walthamstow Station at around 5pm.
Police officers were forced to close Hoe Street, where the station is located, in an effort to get the disturbance under control.
Eyewitnesses described a "gang fight" was taking place with two groups of teenagers seemingly fighting each other.
They said a line up of more than 100 police, accompanied by 20 police cars and a few riot vans were out to contain the disturbance.
But a police spokesman denied it was a riot, and said no one had been injured.
One of the videos appears to show a young women ripping hair extensions from another's head.
Another video shows a group savagely beating a girl lying on the floor, and another shows a young girl being arrested.
Gavin Rugg, an IT consultant who witnessed the chaos, said he saw about 15 men fighting in Hoe Street, and several other smaller clashes between groups of teenagers nearby.
He told the Evening Standard: "There were some guys wearing hoodies who were facing off with police. It looked like they were arresting someone
