Mars' massive Mount Sharp may have formed billions of years ago as water carried sand and silt into the center of a large crater. ASA/JPL-Caltech/MSSS Mars is cold and dry, but billions of years ago, it was cold and wet. That's according to new evidence from NASA's  Curiosity rover , which is currently exploring a large crater on Mars. The rover has found geological evidence that lakes of liquid water existed in the crater 3.5 billion years ago. "The lakes may have existed for hundreds of thousands of years," says  John Grotzinger , a researcher at Caltech and chief scientist for the rover. But he adds, the lake network may have stuck around for millions of years. This is the second big water announcement NASA has made about Mars recently. ते १०:१९ मा प्रकाशित भलै झ्वाट्ट सुन्दा यो अजीब लाग्नसक्छ तर दुनियामा एउटा यस्तो ठाउँ पनि छ जहाँ सर्पहरुको बैठक बस्दछ । सर्पहरुको त्यो अनौठो भेलामा विभिन्न प्रकारका हजारौँ सर्पहरु जम्मा हुन्छन् । सर्पहरुको बैठकस्थलको रुपमा रहेको उक्त ठाउँ हो क्यानडाको मान्टिटोबा स्थित नार्सिस स्नेक डेन्स । त्यो ठाउँमा सर्पहरुको डरलाग्दो बिस्कुन देख्न सकिन्छ । धेरै सर्पहरु एक आपसमा गुजुल्टिएका हुन्छन् । सर्पहरुको बैठक वर्षैभर चल्दैन । अपि्रलको अन्तिम तथा मे को सुरुवाती हप्तामा यो बैठक चल्दछ । त्यहाँ जम्मा हुने मध्ये गार्टर प्रजातिका सर्पहरुको संख्या बढि हुनछ । नार्सिस इलाकामा किन त्यति धेरै सर्पहरु भेला हुन्छन् भन्ने कुराको रहस्य अहिलेसम्म पनि पत्ता लाग्न सकेको छैन । तर वैज्ञानिकहरुले भने तापक्रम बढेसँगै भाले सर्पहरुको सरीरमा हर्मोन उत्पादन हुने र सोही हर्मोनका कारण यौनक्रियाका लागि सबै भालेहरु एकैपटक सक्रिय हुँदा सर्पहरुको त्यो भिमकाय भेलाको दृश्य देखिने बताएका छन् । यौनक्रिडाका लागि आतुर दर्जनौँ भाले सर्पहरु एउटै पोथी सर्पमाथि गुँडुल्किएर बेरिएको देख्न सकिन्छ।  https://www.youtube....
